Reasons to choose PSItraffic
- Fast, AI-based and efficient scheduling
- ITCS, depot and loading management, duty scheduling – all from a single source
- Transparency of the entire fleet status
- Transparency across all areas of the depot
- Real-time data availability
- Integrated quality management

- Optimal vehicle availability
- Short system introduction phase
- Open interfaces
- Manufacturer and hardware independence
- Flexible, future-proof software architecture
- Integration of bus, tram and emission-free fleets as well as any number of depots
- Integrated monitoring of the entire operational situation in the depot and on the line
From arrival at the depot to departure: PSItraffic/DMS maps all processes in the depot and provides a transparent overview of the current operational, workshop, driver and vehicle situation.
-
Vehicle location and tracking
Radio frequency identification is used to identify vehicles entering and leaving the premises and to determine their location in the depot. Delays are reported as alarms or warnings. The vehicle locations are visible in the system for dispatchers and workshop staff and form the basis for their work.
-
Provision of driver information
PSItraffic/DMS uses terminals or cell phones to provide drivers with information about their duties, vehicle location and status. At the same time, the system informs the dispatchers about punctual departure from the parking lot and return to the depot.
-
Automatic parking space allocation
When entering the depot, the driver receives information on where to park the vehicle for refueling or sanding, for maintenance, cleaning or repair work, or for the next departure. Daily maneuvering is greatly minimized, thus saving working time.
-
Quality management
PSItraffic/DMS combines historical operational data and evaluates it graphically and in reports, thus creating the basis for evaluations and process optimizations.
-
Scheduling of workshop and supply work
PSItraffic/DMS carries out the scheduling for workshop and supply work or takes over the corresponding information from a workshop system (e.g. SAP, Maximo, COSware), assigns service stations to the vehicles, informs the workshop and service employees and documents all completed work.
-
Automatic vehicle and route allocation
The vehicles are parked in the depot in such a way that the right vehicles are available for all subsequent trips. If a vehicle is not ready for use, the dispatcher is notified in real time and can take appropriate action. If a trip cannot be filled because there are insufficient vehicles available, a vehicle shortage is immediately reported in the system, and the dispatcher can take action in good time. The basis for all optimization is PSI's Qualicision® technology, which has been proven in industry many times over.
Integration of your electric buses
Electric buses are seamlessly integrated into PSItraffic/DMS. Through the connection to a load and charging management system, your vehicles are charged as needed and your electrical infrastructure is monitored.
Vehicle monitoring during operation
The DMS receives data about the state of your vehicles from the ITCS, CAD system or directly from the bus via a data logger. This means that battery capacity, mileage or energy consumption, for example, can be monitored online.
Control of charging processes
The charging processes are prioritized according to their use in order to avoid overloading the transformers and grid connection. The state of charge is continuously monitored and compared with the energy requirements for the next trip. If the vehicles are sufficiently charged, the system switches to trickle charging. If the energy requirement is insufficient, the priority is adjusted or other vehicles are used.
Predicting range, energy consumption and demand
The DMS uses the AI-based optimization algorithm Deep Qualicision to predict range, energy consumption and demand.
Assignment of charging stations
When the vehicle enters the depot, the DMS determines the parking space with the correct charging station – depending on the battery’s state of charge and the next cycle. If no charging is required, the vehicle is assigned a parking space without infrastructure.
Preconditioning
Vehicles are preconditioned automatically and in good time before the next tour begins. This ensures that all trips start on time and that the batteries are treated gently.
